Christmas Fairy

Christmas Fairy

Her joy wandered around the home

She sprinkled love from a sparkling wand

Giggles were falling down the stairs

With laughter bouncing from wall to wall

As she sweeps sadness out of the door

Tears become glitter upon the window panes

Her bubbles of joy are bursting in the air

She is just another fairy with her magic

With happiness in every leap and bound

Waltzing over chains of twinkling lights

Driving winter darkness deep underground

Offering Christmas candies to all she meets

Making coloured Santas for all to see

Spraying stencilled pictures on the windows

Welcoming Yuletide where love is free

Chatterbox Angel

Chatterbox Angel

A smile walked through the door this morning

Full of conversation all about herself

A thousand different expressions in a minute

Words bubbling so freely from her mouth

Laughing in that way that captures hearts

A sing-along girl just waiting to be a star

Convinced she was successful with every turn

As she danced along the carpet upon the floor

She was the brightness that shone beyond the sun

Her mother’s pride and joy so clear to see

Twirling with her coloured ribbons

All around her decorated Christmas tree

There was happiness and confidence in every move

I’m sure she stole the winter sunlight

Just to spread it all around

Wishing all she met a Happy Christmas

She is the Yuletide’s hopeful sound
