Au naturale
Rays of sunlight drifted through the gap between the curtains
The warmth awakening her from the beauty of her dreams
A night when she and loneliness had parted company
As she lay with someone who really cared
When warmth had spread across her body
The pain of domination was gone
That passive fear she had so often experienced
As men used her for their pleasure alone
Now the scene had changed
A stage swept clear of ogres that preyed
On the body she once felt must be displayed
Her mind no longer confused
By the instant desire to please
By the falseness of encouragement
To display more and more
For the greedy minds of others
Emotion was still there
But now the experience was new
She had felt the moistness of their union
Caresses that were tender and deserved
Au naturale at last
She told herself
How she had longed and how she had waited for such a moment
Distractions of exposure in media
So often leading her astray
False promises offered
Were but the shield as she became the prey
Now this was different
She lay back and stared at the ceiling
Reliving those moments of the last evening
When all seemed to have fallen into place
She reached out her arm
To feel the body she now believed was hers
Her hand touched then grasped the phone
She swiped
Then glanced at the screen
Why had she done that
Responded to one last message
Tempted she had taken the bait
The body was no longer there beside her
She had submitted to her fate
