The Green and Purple People (revised)

The Green and Purple People

He awoke in the morning thanking God he was white

Or was he now the only god he was not quite sure

Throwing open the curtains was shocked at the sight

A crowd of Green and Purple people lined up to the door

He rang for security for this just could not be

Two purple people arrived asking why he was still there

He screamed he was the president of the land of the free

He’d been elected They said they didn’t care

His election was voided because only whites could vote

Not just white they also must be male

Now only Green and Purple people were of note

He’d better move out or face a life in jail

He packed his bags as he ranted and he raved

Swearing Green and Purple would get a comeuppance

He was a white supremacist and whites must be saved

But the Green and Purple judges didn’t care a tuppence

He screamed as they removed his glamour and glitter

That his red-capped followers would come to his aid

He raged like a wounded bull but he was old and bitter

They told him the Green and Purple were to be obeyed

A life of bullying and threatening came to an end

When the Green and Purple decided enough was enough

The ex-president could no longer bully and pretend

When the Green and Purple rose up and called his bluff
